Digitising Family Documents and Photographs
Poster presumed to belong to Alice May Fitness.
There are a number of issues to consider before you begin digitising family history documents and photographs.
You might find it useful to read the National Library of NZ Guide to Digitising Family History.
As valuable as digitising your family archives can be, remember that the original photos and documents will still need to be cared for and protected. For advice on how best to do this try the National Library of NZ Guide to Care of Family Collections. Also very useful for care of heirlooms and objects is the Canadian Conservation Institute Guide to Preserving My Heritage.
